Videotage’s “Foundation – a Web3 Media Art Festival” is a web-based media art festival, which aims to groom a new generation of media art culture from Hong Kong and for Hong Kong in the new era of the Internet.
Since 2020, humanity has embraced web technologies unprecedentedly in adapting to the harsh physical limitations caused by Covid-19 and the ensuing economic fluctuations. As a result, we find ourselves emerging from the pandemic with a slew of new technologies, platforms, and trends that offer new potential for media artists to expand the boundaries of their creativity. In fact, we are at the doorstep of Web3 – the next generation of the internet.
After 36 years dedicated to moving images and media art, Videotage presents Foundation – a Web3 Media Art Festival. It aims to discuss, exchange, and experiment with the diverse possibilities of Web3 from the vantage points of decentralization, humanized AI, and Extended realities (XR), in view of collectively expanding the future visions of Internet technology, from an artistic and technological points of view.
Depuis 2020, l’humanité a adopté les technologies d’Internet de manière sans précédent en s’adaptant aux dures limitations physiques causées par le Covid-19 et aux fluctuations économiques qui en ont résulté. En conséquence, nous nous retrouvons à sortir de la pandémie avec une multitude de nouvelles technologies, plateformes et tendances qui offrent un nouveau potentiel aux artistes médiatiques pour repousser les limites de leur créativité. En fait, nous sommes à la porte du Web3 – la prochaine génération d’Internet.
Après 36 ans consacrés aux images en mouvement et à l’art médiatique, Videotage présente Foundation – un Web3 Media Art Festival. Il vise à discuter, échanger et expérimenter les diverses possibilités du Web3 du point de vue de la décentralisation, de l’IA humanisée et des réalités étendues (XR), en vue d’élargir collectivement les visions futures de la technologie Internet, d’un point de vue artistique et technologique. de vue.

在過去三十六年間，錄映太奇致力推動錄像及媒體藝術，現繼續秉承使命，呈獻Web3網絡媒體藝術節 ——「未來史詩」。藝術節從去中心化、人性化人工智能、延展實境等概念和技術出發，對Web3的可能性進行交流、探討和實驗，試圖以藝術與技術的角度，共同擴展網絡科技的未來前景。
