Co-organised by FACT (Liverpool), Near Now (Nottingham), Platform Asia (Brighton), and Videotage (Hong Kong), HK x UK Digital Residency is a hybrid artist residency on Game Art.
It takes the form of a 1-month joined-up digital exchange programme for 6 artists (2 from Hong Kong / 4 from the United Kingdom) and a 10-day intensive in the UK with works-in-progress presentations at Liverpool, Nottingham, and Brighton, followed by a final presentation in Hong Kong.
This programme aims to foster exchange between early career artists from different art ecologies, who are interested in how new screen technologies can expand ideas of screen culture and non-linear storytelling.
Additionally, it will provide skilled mentoring and production direction to artists interested in how technology affects their practice and what new screen-based media can be.
The project is not strictly outcome-based but will allow artists to share and showcase their work during the residency, as well as possible presentations for outcomes they may create during their time together.

Co-organisée par FACT (Liverpool), Near Now (Nottingham), Platform Asia (Brighton) et Videotage (Hong Kong), la Résidence Numérique HK-UK est une résidence d’artiste hybride axée sur l’art du jeu vidéo.
La résidence prend la forme d’un programme d’échange numérique conjoint d’un mois pour 6 artistes (2 de Hong Kong / 4 du Royaume-Uni), suivi d’une immersion intensive de 10 jours au Royaume-Uni avec des présentations de travaux en cours à Liverpool, Nottingham et Brighton, et se conclut par une présentation finale à Hong Kong.
Ce programme vise à favoriser l’échange entre artistes émergents issus de différents écosystèmes artistiques, intéressés par la manière dont les nouvelles technologies peuvent élargir les concepts de culture de l’écran et de narration non linéaire.
En outre, il offrira un mentorat qualifié et une direction de production aux artistes s’interrogeant sur l’impact de la technologie sur leur pratique et sur les possibilités offertes par les nouveaux médias basés sur l’écran.
Le projet n’est pas strictement axé sur les résultats, mais permettra aux artistes de partager et de présenter leur travail pendant la résidence, ainsi que d’éventuelles présentations des œuvres qu’ils pourraient créer durant leur collaboration.

由FACT (利物浦)、Near Now (諾丁漢)、Sudden Beams (布萊頓)及Videotage (香港)合辦，「香港-英國數碼駐留計劃」是一個以遊戲藝術為中心的數碼及實體駐留計劃。
六位來自香港和英國的藝術家將參與為期一個月的聯合線上交流項目，並在英國進行為期九天的密集式創作駐留，在利物浦、諾丁漢和布萊頓介紹創作中的計劃，最後將在香港展示研究成果。
本計畫旨在促進來自不同藝術生態的新進藝術家進行交流。參與藝術家均以不同形式探索新科技、擴展螢幕文化，以及非線性敘事概念。
在交流以外，本計畫亦為藝術家提供技術指導及製作支緩，以發展其新螢幕／遊戲藝術創作項目。此計劃並非以創作成果為本，但藝術家亦會在在駐村期間與當地藝術家及觀眾分享他們的研究進度，並展示其目前進度。
